Warehouse/Forklift Operative Available Job | Vacancy
Location: Langley & Colnbrook
Salary: £26,880 + Once X-Ray trained additional £2,250 per annum – Max salary £29,130
To carry out all duties relating to the distribution and storage process within an assigned area, as instructed by supervisory management. These duties are to be conducted in a professional manner whilst ensuring that agreed daily targets and KPI objectives are met.
- Responsible for the quality and output performance of allocated work, thus ensuring that the cell/team achieves its daily requirements.
- To support all company personnel in order to achieve a smooth operations system in which high quality products are supplied as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Assisting colleagues with warehouse duties, including but not limited to, loading and unloading vehicles, labelling, scanning and allocating/pulling freight to the floor correctly for domestic, import or export consignments
- Build & breakdown Aircraft pallets.
- To carry out stock checks and bond checks when required.
- To organise transport and get goods delivered to airlines within the required timescales
- Interaction with customers, resolving their queries
- Ability to palletise goods appropriately and efficiently to company process
- Understanding and adherence to the relevant H&S legislation, Aviation and Department for Transport regulations
- Control hazardous substances in the area in accordance with EU/EK legislation.
- To attend regular meetings / briefings as required
- Ensure that all equipment issues by the company is in a satisfactory condition to perform the task in a safe manner and to ensure that all daily checks are undertaken.
- Ensure that all non-conformities are recorded correctly in line with company procedures.
- Use all required in house systems to fulfil your tasks.
- Responsible to follow all company processes.
- Ensure that high levels of cleanliness, safety and security are maintained throughout the warehouse and yard during the shift period. Including emptying bins and removing litter.
- Driving forklift truck to load and unload vehicles
- Screening cargo using the X-ray machine (Training will be provide)
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by Warehouse Manager & Supervisor.
Requirements of the Warehouse/Forklift Operative
- Current forklift licence
- Experience with Air Freight
- Strong warehouse experience
- Good computer skills
- Listens actively and communicates thoughts and ideas in an appropriate manner
